To be totally honest, I’ve hardly written a thing since I moved home a month ago. It just hasn’t been working out, creativity wise. I’m still searching for that elusive spot where I can sit and write undisturbed by the world around me. Things aren’t helped by my need to spend time doing Grown-up things like finding a job, or trying to make money to pay the bills in the meantime.
To that end I’m embarrassingly far behind. I *should* have everything up to #75 finished by now, art and all, but…well I have detailed summaries, and a very rough draft of #62…. and that’s about it.
Writer’s block is bad enough. Writer’s block when you’re trying to maintain a publishing schedule, with deadlines and all (and ultimately no promise of financial compensation for all the effort!) is even worse.
BUT I will still endeavour to have #62 ready for Thursday. At the very least I want to maintain the once-a-week schedule until I find my feet. I may try to encourage myself by working on the site more – another thing that has fallen by the wayside in recent times.
Big apologies for being rubbish, and also big thanks to those who have donated recently (you’ve quite literally helped feed me XD).

trying to move house and double your schedule is not the best way to go about things XD i know
and whats this about being rubbish… your update more regularly then some people that have been doing this years
Heh, thanks (you’ve made me feel a little bit better about it all!)
I hadn’t planned to move home – I was given an opportunity and took it! Happened at the worst time, writing wise, as I was reaching the end of my backlog!
Don’t sweat it!
Phantasia is still – like jess said – one of the most reliable webserials I know of.
And I wouldn’t mind a hiatus if that helps you settle things at your end, so that you can go back to relaxed once – or even twice – a week updates.
Just don’t take to long
Anyhow. Good luck finding work and settling in!
You mean one of the most reliable web-anything! Some web comic authors seem barely able to update once a month! I agree with Tellur here: a happy author makes excellent works. I’m sure we wouldn’t mind TOO much if you had to go once-every-other-week on us. This is worth the wait
