Culture Studies teacher and Mr Payne’s second-in-command, Ms Thorburn is relaxed to the point of lazy, but cares deeply for her pupils. A childhood friend of Rembrandt, she is famed for her foresight.

History teacher who once travelled the globe as a vagrant, Sabeen has collected a plethora of artefacts from the ruins of the world. Unlike his brother he doesn’t take his teaching job seriously.

Music teacher and Kaori’s mother, Ms Shimomura is talented with a wide variety of instruments and uses music to control her empathic powers, which can change the mood of any situation in an instant.

Epithet: the ‘Seven Blades’
Survival teacher and stoic brother of Sabeen. Azarat is a strict teacher and few students dare argue with him, but he is only harsh because he has experienced the true dangers of the world.
Valentine Baudin

Mythology teacher and borderline alcoholic who considers himself a bit of a charismatic rogue. Mr Baudin has worked undercover infiltrating a number of dangerous organisations, including Godhand.
Natalie Chiltern

Epithet: ‘Donara’s Orphan’
Nature Studies teacher who has dedicated her life to bringing life back to the wastelands. Ms Chiltern is one of the few surviving members of the Donara, the tribe that nutured the great forest east of Torsten.
Lucia James

Epithet: the ‘Magic-Gun Alchemist’
Science teacher who delights in using deadly weapons and pyrotechnics to teach her students. Lucia is also a master of transmutation and mixes science with magic to create explosive results.
Laura Clarke

Epithet: the ‘Motherly Doctor’
Maths teacher Ms Clarke delights in numerical patterns and her classroom is a shrine to obsessive-compulsive disorder. Her healing magic can seemingly heal any wound or disease.

Epithet: the ‘Rainbow-haired Shaman’
Art teacher whose hair changes colour to reflect her frequent mood swings. Because of her skills in Curse magic, few people dare get on her bad side.
Tes Anderson

Epithet: ‘Scourge of Lemegeton’
Literature teacher with a love for esoteric languages, Ms Anderson is an enchantress and likes to place beneficial magicks on obscure items for fun. The youngest, and newest, member of Payne’s staff.

Engineering teacher known by for his cheery disposition and knowledge of Old World pop-culture. Mr Smith is not part of SEELIE, and maintains a healthy cynicism towards the supernatural.

Physical Education teacher and oldest member of staff, Khandro was a former teacher of Rembrandt Payne. Respected by staff and students alike for his wisdom, he is rarely seen without a hearty smile.
