Hey :)

This is pretty much just a Wordpress blog that I've customised. You'd need your own webspace to get all technical with it, but if you're happy to work with pre-made templates you can sign up here

Alternatively you can try Livejournal or Blogger.

If you're just starting out and want to test the waters, though, you could always try FictionPress, which had the advantage of being designed for writers, so you'd have yourself a potential audience from the get-go (whereas with blogs, you'd have to promote yourself!). Only problem I have with FP - and why I stopped updating there - is that they don't allow images. It's all plain text!

Start off small, at any rate, and don't go expecting thousands of readers straight away. It can be a long slog before you get noticed, and it might even feel like no one is reading, but keep it up! The average work of traditionally published fiction onlys sells a couple of thousand copies, after all.

Oh, and if you decide to release the story in instalments, make sure to keep a 'buffer' - that is, be ahead of schedule by at least a few weeks. I am notoriously bad at doing this, and end up with very stressful races to meet deadlines XD

Hopefully this isn't too much of an essay, but if you have any more questions do ask and hopefully I can help!

Um, how do you form this kind of website? I write stories too, but I can't ever seem to find a way to actually post them online, no matter what. Any advice and/or links would be a great help. Thank you,
