    Awesome Chapter! Can’t wait for the next one!

  2. Dary says:

    Aww man, I totally forgot to add a poll!

    Unless you’re reading this after I added on, in which case CONSIDER YOUR MEMORY ALTERED!

    So, this is the last chapter of 2009! I would have started my break after last week’s chapter, but I wanted to finish on some kind of cliffhanger :p Had this little arc not expanded to the length it had, I’d have been okay! Never mind, ey?

    Although this sort of information is what I’ll be including in the ‘database’ I’m working on (I hope to release it after the break, but it’s quite big D:), I thought people might like to know…those names above AREN’T MADE UP! They are, in fact, WELSH!

    Tirio = terrain (earth)
    Dyfrio = water
    Awyr = air

    Also, Tirio’s previous name, Bezalel Arduda (which WAS mentioned in this chapter, but got cut…so I’m telling you now because I spent a good hour doing research on it!) combines Judah Loew ben Bezalel with the (rough phonetic translations of the) Arabic words for ‘earth’ (ard) and ‘worm’ (duda).

    Someone did point out I could’ve just made up something random and no one would know the difference, but I’m not a big fan of that XD How many stories have you read that pull the most random, unpronounceable words out of their arse?

    Uh…not that Welsh words are much easier… Awyr is pretty much just ‘air’, I think Tirio is ‘tear-yo’ and Dyfrio is ‘dwe-free-oh’. DON’T QUOTE ME ON THAT! If you know any better, however, feel free to correct me!

    ANYWAY… it’s the end of 2009 and I’ve managed to publish 42 chapters and about 161,000 words. The target for the end of 2010 is to reach #125. I won’t tell you what will be happening then, but since you’ve followed the story all the way here (well done and thank you!) I will let you know that…

    January will be dealing with a summoning ritual, so if you’ve ever wondered how real demons enter the human world… And February is when everything really gets taken to the next level… If you enjoyed the epic Godhand arc, you should look forward to it XD

    And if you’re reading this before the festivities, have a most awesome holidaytime, BE EXCELLENT TO EACH OTHER and PARTY ON, DUDES!

  3. Koli says:

    125? So you plan on doing more then one release per week? Seeing as how there are only 52 weeks in a year. Not that I’m complaining or anything. =)

    • Dary says:

      Not sure on scheduling, but I’d like to do two a week! It’s a lot of work though :/ Especially when it doesn’t pay! Might try one of those “every $20 gets a new chapter” things, see if that works, as that could solve both problems…

      I certainly don’t want to stick to the current schedule. The story has grown since the last draft. What was once chapter 30 is now chapter 60!

  4. jess says:

    one of the teachers… Chiltern whatever her name was… for some reason i think its her???

    anyway keep it up i look forward to next year!!!

  5. NeoDarklight says:

    If anyone else can remember, there was brief contact between Phantasia and the entity casting the memory changing spell, and it was also confirmed that the entity was most likely a faerie. Also, the renegade faeries have nothing to gain from wiping the students’ memories, so far as we know. And none of the teachers, or students (outside Phantasia and Faye), are faeries, so far as we know. Also, Godhand has no connections to any faeries, corrupted or not, so far as we know. So, by process of elimination, it is most likely an outside party causing the memory alterations.

  6. lolcorp says:

    A robot from the future?!

  7. jess says:

    godhand had 2 fairies working for them… kitsune the one with 9 ponytails and that ‘kid’ who cast the ‘binding’ spell thing.

    or it could be one of the the ‘missing fairies mentioned in the 2nd chapter Prince Freyr or Princess Titania…

    i think im just spouting rubbish, probably too much turkey.

    • NeoDarklight says:

      The faeries you are talking about are part of the renegade faeries and they weren’t in league with Godhand, they were USING Wotan.

  8. shinami says:

    Hrmm…Dyfrio’s last comment is odd. He seems to be referencing the caster of the memory illusion as a Princess of the Wind.

    • Dary says:

      Throw all the conjecture in these comments together and you can probably come out with the right answer XD

      I’m just thankful this wasn’t intended to be much of a surprise twist!

  9. jess says:

    i think i have it…

    from chapter 8
    “maybe if our people hadn’t manipulated them so much!” Phantasia shot back. It was turning into that argument again. “Every time they rediscovered the world they abandoned, the Seelie came along and erased all memory of it! Humans had no choice but to follow the path they were on, because every time they found another one it was covered up!”

    princess tatiana (cant spell it) of the wind queendom, working as part of seelie, the teachers dont know because they are human

    • NeoDarklight says:

      It is clearly stated (somewhere in the past 10 chapters) that the Seelie are not behind this series of mind-wipes. And the teachers are PART of SEELIE. Also, it’s spelled “Titania”.

  10. DoofDaGoof says:

    Oooh! Chekov’s Gun! I see what you did there Dary!
